Gentle antibacterial cleansing bar for dry, sensitive skin.
- Moisturizing Deodorant
- Non-Comedogenic
Cetaphil® antibacterial bar is a non-soap formulation that’s milder than antibacterial soaps. It’s designed especially for cleansing dry, sensitive skin and is ideal for bath or shower use. Non-comedogenic so it won’t clog pores. Contains no harsh ingredients that might dry or irritate the skin.

Cetaphil Antibacterial Gentle Cleansing Bar, 4.5-Ounce Bar (Pack of 6)
Exactly what we wanted; arrived as stated and at a fair price. Would order again w/o hesitation.
Works well

This product was recommended by my son’s skin doctor because he was getting sores on his skin & since the use of the soap it has diminished significantly
The best

I get really dry skin in the winter, but that problem has simply gone away after starting to use this soap. It’s pricey if you buy one bar at a time but the 6 pack on Amazon is hard to beat. I also use the cleanser on my face-Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser, 16-Ounce Bottles (Pack of 2)–there’s so much research out there that says there’s no need to spend a fortune on expensive skin care products so I don’t!
Skin Soothing Soap Succeeds
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I used to use this soap during the winter when the effects of heating and cold air made for tender, easily chafed skin. But time and needs change and I now use this product year-round. This soap is gentle to the skin and does not leave much residue as those commercial dry-skin cleansers. This is the anti-bacterial version although there is a ‘plain’ version. It’s expensive as soap goes, but I have found that the six-pack by-subscription set up Amazon provides brings the per bar cost way below what you’ll find on the pharmacy shelves.
There’s little fragrance [unlike most commerical soaps] to irritate either the skin or the olfactory. Using a wash cloth, it makes rich suds and it rinses clean. Beware placing it in on a soap holder in the direct stream of your shower. Because it is a super-fatted soap it will wash away before your eyes if you aren’t careful about placement.
I have psoriasis and have used this product for over a year
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I had a terrible time before I started using Cetaphil in the shower. Other soaps would burn my legs (which were completely covered with red outbursts of psoriasis, while Cetaphil would not and seemed to help healing them. I only use Cetaphil now and have given it to my red headed grandson who was having a skin problem and it has also helped him.
Great for people with sensitive skin, but why antibacterial?

First of all, let me say this soap basically made my eczema go away. No more steroid creams or break out rashes. I’ve been using harsher soaps (dial, ivory) my whole life, and when a dermatologist diagnosed me with eczema in my late 20s, I thought that I’d be applying steroid creams on and off the rest of my life for this “controllable disease.” Not so. After controlling the first few rashes, I started using cetaphil bar soap in the shower and the liquid facial cleanser at night, and 6 months later, I have yet to have a recurrence.
However, Amazon stopped selling the standard bar and decided to jump on the antibacterial bandwagon. I see this as an additional chemical, Triclosan, that has dubious benifit can can cause possible harm– wikipedia can tell you more about this. As somebody who has a sensitive skin condition, I do not need additional ingredients in soap. Yes you can buy the non antibacterial bar on amazon, but since it is not carried by amazon, the price comes out to be 75% more. Crummy.

This soap is recommended by many dermatologists for dry skin conditions and it works fabulously.
Better then regular Cetaphil
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
A doctor recommended Cetaphil because of a condition with my oil glands that caused my skin to break out. I found that the Antibacterial Cetaphil works better then the regular Cetaphil for clearing out my skin infections. Resent research shows you have to scrup for at least 10 seconds to clean the bacteria out of the skin. This is also good because it does not dry out your skin like regular antibacterial soaps. It does dry out my feet and I do need to put extra oil on them. It is nice at my age (58) to use a gentle soap that will not damage the skin. I like the way I can rinse until my skin is just where I want it, not to much oil and not to dry. This product is well worth the price and seems to last longer then the cheaper bars of soap.
Good deal

This bar soap is great. As I have a little baby I need to use some antibacterial soap, and this one is the best. As well I use it to wash my hands and in a shower as well. It is moisturizing. I think it make acne go away.

I used to get sun rash so bad. I have a friend with perfect skin. She told me that she uses this soap. I started using it and I don’t get sun rash as much any more. My skin is smooth and I just love it! This soap is great for everybody. I have oily skin. You should try it. I highly recommend it.
What a waste!!!

Didn’t do squat for me. Read the ingredients. Has the same chemicals that most soap has that dries your skin which is what you’re trying to avoid. Also, in the enclosed literature, the manufacturer states that with prolonged use the bacteria on your body will become immune to the anti-bacteria ingredients of the product. What a big money ripoff.
Looking for relief from dry skin?

My director recommended this product when I made a complaint about dry skin. I purchased the product that night. It was expensive, but it worked! I began looking for a less costly way of obtaining this product and when I found the bars on Amazon I was able to compare the cost to the drugstore prices that I’d been visiting. Amazon won!
The only soap I’ll use
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I come from a tropical country so when I got here about seven years ago, I had to hunt for products that would work well for my hair and skin. I live in NM so it is dry. The other products I tried irritated my skin, made my skin too dry or it was too loaded with moisturizers. They also didn’t give me the antibacterial protection that I wanted which translates to odor protection. I tried Cetaphil Antibacterial Cleansing Bar and it kept my skin healthy and provided all-day odor protection. I have been using it for years now. I use a different kind of soap for my face but for the rest of me, this is the only soap I’ll use. My husband and my son both use it now too. Amazon has the best price around. I wish I had checked it out sooner. I have a subscription for this product and I love the savings!
